Ensuring a sustainable and prosperous convenience industry in Scotland

Scottish Grocer’s Federation is delighted to announce a new partnership with Stuart’s of Buckhaven, quality Bakers and Butchers.

Stuart’s is a sixth generation family bakers and butchers serving Fife and the surrounding areas. Today, as well as 15 bakery shops, most with cafes, Stuart’s have three award-winning combined baker/ butcher/ café shops, the original still in “auld Buckhyne,” since 1995 a flag-ship unit in Leven and since 2005 an attractive shop in Lundin Links.

The Scottish Convenience sector continues to both flourish and evolve at a rapid pace as it responds to customers’ requirements for an ever-expanding range of services and grocery offerings.

SGF chief executive Pete Cheema OBE said, “We are delighted to welcome Stuart’s of Buckhaven into the Federation, a family business with family values offering quality bakery and butchery products to the highest standards since 1857. Having already expanded their offering into a number of convenience stores across Scotland they appreciate that convenience retailers and their customers want a quality food offering and at a competitive price. We look forward to a long and successful relationship.

Managing Director of Stuart’s of Buckhaven, Keith Stuart said, “Stuart's are very excited to be in partnership with the Scottish Grocers Federation.  There are countless convenience stores throughout Scotland eager to progress and develop and Stuart's are will be there to support where we excel, providing customers with fresh top quality Bakery and Butcher products directly to the stores. We are also looking forward to a long and successful relationship.”
